About Strofes

Pioneering conservation technology.

Working at the intersection of AI, renewable energy and rugged engineering — building systems that thrive where conventional technology fails.

Our story

Built in the field, not in a boardroom.

Strofes Technologies was registered in July 2020 with a singular vision: to bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and wildlife conservation. What began as a small team of engineers and conservationists now delivers surveillance, mobility and software solutions for forest protection across India.

Our first project was pro bono, and it set the pattern for everything since. An app we had built to collect animal data in the field was rebuilt to collect data about people — supporting the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority and the BBMP in surveying children begging on the streets of Bengaluru. The tool mattered more than the category it belonged to.

Since then we have spent years in the field, learning what forest departments and national parks actually contend with: extreme weather, remote sites, and locations with neither power nor connectivity. We engineer for the places where conventional technology fails.

Today Strofes works at the intersection of AI, renewable energy, GIS and rugged engineering — from the first DigiNetra cameras that watched India's returning cheetahs at Kuno to the control room commissioned there in 2025.

Vision

A world where technology and nature coexist in harmony — where every forest is protected by intelligent systems, and wildlife thrives under the watchful eye of innovation.

Mission

To build and deploy world-class conservation technology that empowers forest departments, protects endangered species and preserves our natural heritage for future generations.

Our values

What we hold to.

01

Purpose-Driven

Every product we build serves the mission of conservation.

02

Integrity

We operate with transparency, honesty and accountability.

03

Innovation

We push boundaries in AI, robotics and renewable energy.

04

Collaboration

We partner closely with forest departments and researchers.

05

Sustainability

Solar-first design and a minimal environmental footprint.

06

Excellence

Our journey

From a first tower to a national footprint.

  1. Jul 2020

    Strofes is registered

The company is founded to build technology for wildlife conservation and social impact.

  2. 2021

    First project — pro bono

Our animal data collection app is rebuilt to collect human data, supporting the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority and BBMP in surveying children begging on Bengaluru's streets. The survey was reported in The Hindu.

  3. 2021

    3D Auditorium at Kufri Zoo

Our first immersive visitor experience is delivered at Kufri Zoo in Himachal Pradesh.

  4. 2021

    JungleWatch goes live

The patrol and monitoring app is delivered for the Shimla Wildlife Division, where it ran until 2023.

  5. Dec 2021

    First DigiNetra installation

Four IR PTZ cameras go up at Kuno National Park — the first DigiNetra deployment anywhere. They are in place nine months before the cheetahs arrive, so the enclosures can be watched from the moment of release.

  6. Sep 2022

    The cheetahs arrive

Nearly 70 years after the species was declared extinct in India, cheetahs are reintroduced at Kuno — monitored around the clock on infrastructure already in the ground.

  7. 2022

    Expansion and upgrades

Two more cameras at Kuno, upgrades across JungleWatch, and software projects with the Wildlife Trust of India.

  8. 2022–23

    Harit ABC begins

We start building software for HCL Foundation's Harit ABC programme.

  9. 2023

    Madhav National Park

Four cameras monitor the park boundary, which runs directly against Shivpuri city. Madhav has since been declared a tiger reserve.

  10. Dec 2023

    Pench Tiger Reserve

A long-range camera is installed to monitor illegal fishing at Totladoh Dam.

  11. 2024

    Gandhi Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary

Cameras are installed for cheetah monitoring at Gandhi Sagar.

  12. Apr 2025

    Kuno control room

A state-of-the-art control room is commissioned at Kuno, which now runs seven cameras — up from the original four.

  13. 2025

    Pench expands

Two additional cameras extend surveillance coverage across the reserve.

  14. 2026

    HRMS for HP-NRMS

We begin developing a human resource management application for the Himachal Pradesh Natural Resource Management Society — continuing a Himachal relationship that started at Kufri Zoo.

    About HP-NRMS
  15. 2026

    Virangana Durgavati Tiger Reserve

Work order awarded to install long-range camera surveillance for cheetah monitoring at Madhya Pradesh's newest tiger reserve.

  16. May 2026

    First industrial deployment

Four cameras go live at Toyota Kirloskar Motor's Bidkin plant in Maharashtra, monitoring construction progress and site security. Delivered as system integrator alongside main contractor BM Constrotech — the same off-grid hardware built for forests, applied outside conservation for the first time.
